Why Servant Leadership Works  By zeroing in on one of the major conclusions of his new book Super Projects, Dave Guerra will investigate the question of why Servant Leadership is the leadership of Super Projects. The complex-adaptive systems view of projects and their untapped potential, especially around the emergent features of super projects, points unmistakably to servant leadership as the true north for liberating intrinsic motivation, maximizing project performance and assuring sustainability of outcomes. This is true for all projects. In this experiential session, Dave will introduce a new lens for understanding projects and how they occur. In a simple way, participants will discover the complex adaptive features of all projects, and though facilitated interactions and a few surprises get hold of concepts like emergence, self-organization, polar-complementarity, diversity, and fractal self-reference. Participants will come away with a useful, fresh and practical appreciation for these elements and explore how they can be applied to future projects to simplify and increase project performance.
